Botulinum Toxin (BOTOX)

Botox works by blocking the neurotransmitters that cause those muscle contractions, basically letting those muscles sleep. Botox can also help with orofacial pain from your jaw muscle or headaches. Botox does not come into effect immediately. It takes 2-10 days to exert its clinical effect and lasts about 3 months. It is common for retreatment between 3-6 months.
